Meteorologists have failed to understand tornadoes
Being consensus scientist that don’t do experiments or challenge existing assumptions, it is no surprise that meteorologists have failed to make any advances in tornadogenesis. Congress needs to realize that if any progress is to be made on tornadogenesis it will start when the research money is given to people that are willing to do real science. That means challenging existing assumptions. That means entertaining competing hypotheses. That means doing experiments. Meteorologists don’t do much of anything but observe and pontificate. They aren’t real scientists. They don’t do experiments. They don’t have any of the instincts that real scientists have. And, in my experience, they are intellectually ill suited to taking an investigative approach to science.
These are the people that we have studying tornadoes and hurricanes. What do you think about that?
